Just got done with 7months in SE Asia and took a ton of pictures which went into my macbook pro (High Sierra). Brought them home to my older Mac Pro to work on them (Yosemite) and photos can’t read the libraries telling me I need to upgrade. Can’t upgrade. I’ve extended the life of this Mac Pro as far as it’ll go. ![]() When you first open Photos on your Mac, your photo library is upgraded. The upgraded library is compatible with both Photos and iPhoto (if installed), but any changes you make in Photos won’t appear in iPhoto, and vice versa.
